APPOINTMENTS

1. APPOINTMENTS

To make an appointment in London, Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket or Burwell (or surrounding areas), please contact us on 020 7147 9950 or by e-mail to make an appointment.

Should you require assistance during the weekend or out of normal offices hours, simply contact us on 020 7147 9950 and leave a message (we monitor our voicemail system out of normal office hours) or by e-mail and we shall be in touch to make the necessary arrangements.

2. WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THE APPOINTMENT

(a) The document or documents which require the seal and signature of the Notary. Please do not sign or have them witnessed beforehand. It is imperative that everything is done in the presence of the Notary.

(b) Any instructions that have been given by the lawyer who has prepared the documents. There are sometimes very specific requirements about signing each page or even the colour of the ink; these must be observed or the document could be found to be invalid in the receiving country.

(c) Your passport or if you have no passport a government issued document which bears your photograph such as a modern driving licence and a document which proves where you live such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. If you have difficulty producing such original documents we shall need to discuss with you what evidence of identity the Notary shall need to see so that he can be satisfied that you are the person you say you are.

(d) If you have received the document electronically, please forward it to us in advance of the appointment. It would also be of assistance if you could check the document carefully in advance for errors in your name, address and passport number. If we receive the document electronically we should be able to make any necessary amendments to it in advance of our meeting.
