(iv) the certification of copies of academic qualifications, passports and other documents;

(v) arranging for the legalisation of documents (sometimes referred to as ‘obtaining an Apostille’ or ‘obtaining consular legalisation’); and

(vi) notarisation of various documents in connection with the sale and purchase of ships (including Bills of Sale, registration documents and so forth).

EXAMPLES

Recent examples of notarial services provided by Royal & Co. include:

(a) assisting an Open-Ended Investment Company / ICVC with documentation in connection with the global roll-out of its various sub-funds;

(b) assisting a company to obtain a Spanish CIF corporate tax identification number working in liaison with their Spanish correspondent lawyers;

(c) assisting individuals to obtain Spanish NIE identification numbers, working in liaison with their Spanish correspondent lawyers;

(d) assisting a family with certain documentation required in connection with their emigration to Canada; and

(e) drafting and notarising Consents to Travel for parents having to travel on their own with their children as their partners were unable to accompany them.
