1. SUMMARY

Toby Royal qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2003. After completing further studies and examinations between 2006 - 2008, Toby was admitted as a Notary Public on 24th February 2009.

Toby has a particular interest in maritime / shipping matters, holding qualifications in Maritime Law and Ship Management (with a specialism in Vessel & Fleet Technical Management). Toby's understanding and expertise in shipping has been developed from the start of his legal career in 2001 with a City law firm, where he continues to be employed in the commercial and shipping finance sectors of the law as a Senior Associate (Solicitor).

Toby's practice as a Notary Public is for his own account.

Toby is in the process of completing the Professional Qualifying Exams for admission into the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

In his capacity as a Notary Public, Toby has assisted both commercial and private clients. Examples include assisting an Open Ended Investment Company (OEIC) with the global roll-out of its sub-funds, drafting and notarising Consents to Travel, drafting and notarising Powers of Attorney, and the amicable resolution of a potential dispute between neighbours arising out of the playing / teaching of various woodwind, brass, keyboard and percussion instruments.
